It occurred to me the old system for crows was to hang a dead crow up in
the trees as a warning. The commercial people use air-driven bangers but
this can worry neighbours (if any). Also if you are really big you can
live with some losses but if you only have a few and the birds peck the
lot it is a bit off-putting.
