Stan, onions need a long season.I have been growing onions from seed for
several years. This year I started them off in pots, 3 seeds to a pot,
no thinning, no pricking out. Owing to atrocious weather they had to
stay in those pots so I fed them and they grew quite nicely, they went
out at the end of June, got an extra feed of nitrate of soda and were
left alone. They were by far my best crop yet. They beat the onion sets
easily. It's good to hear from you again. Allan,
