My experience has been as soon as the plants cycle and dye off the potatoes are ready to dig up. Be careful when you dig as to not bruise or cut them. Mary in So California -----Original Message----- From: SG Griffith [s*@northsound.net] Sent: Tue 7/1/2003 11:09 AM To: veggie-list@eskimo.com Cc: Subject: Potatoes Does anyone else grow potatoes? This is my first year, and I'm a little concerned about them. I planted them in a raised bed and heaped grassy mulch on them until I thought it would all fall off the bed if I put any more on. Now the plants are huge, and I'm wondering if the potatoes are going to appear above the ground? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Suzanne G. in Bremerton, WA
