Re: fall seeding methods?..

We will be setting transplants of chard, kale, collards, cabbages,
(overwintering types), purple sprouting broccoli in July and August.
In August and September we will add cauliflower, corn salad, spinach,
various hardy leaf lettuces and fava beans. I shall also try this
month some fall peas (resistant to mildew and enation), beans again,
lettuce, carrots, beets, radishes. The radishes are especially good
after they bolt. The pods are a great vegetable. Also in August/Sept.
I shall start seeding cover crops, garlic, scallions. This is a
partial list and I have particular varieties I prefer, so I usually
have to start ahead 4-6 weeks by seed.
