Stacey, I didn't know rotenone was no longer available in New York state. I
thought that was one of the "safest" pesticides. Hmmm.
I tried to think of what might have gotten your squash, but the slimy
substance, which is the major clue, I think, didn't strike up any ideas.
Something dug up my squash seeds and ate them before they had a chance to
sprout! I'll have to get a bunch at the roadside stands and freeze them.
