Any radish will make dozens of luscious pods if allowed to. The pods
must be harvested while still slender and green. Once they get very
lumpy-bumpy they are woody and hot. This is a spicy vegetable. There
are radishes grown especially for their huge pods (rattail radishes)
but I have not found them to be worth the trouble personally.
