Boy, you have wimpy slugs if a little sandpaper will deter them! Our
Oregon slugs take on wood ash, diatomaceous earth, crushed glass,
etc. without a whimper. They are super slimers and just lay down a
nice smooth slime highway over all the above. They do *hate* copper,
however. We get better results with sourdough bait than with beer.
