I hope it's okay to ask a question about veggie gardening.

We had a pretty serious corn earworm problem his year - worse than usual. 
Any body have a "natural" remedy to repel or control the earworm in the
moth stage?  The mineral oil and Bt control methods only affect the larvae
which,  if applied when the silks begin to form, seem to interfere with
pollination and, if applied when the silks turn brown (presumes pollination
is complete - not always true), kills the mature worm which is okay except
it is no less appetizing than a live worm.
