Anybody out there know how to control downy mildew on onions
and shallots? For the second year running I've been afflicted in this way
- no doubt due to wet and mild weather. The shallots, I've lifted.
The onions are not ready. They've had prophylactic spraying with Diathane
945 and post-symptom spraying but to no effect. The onions have not
collapsed yet but they have all the symptoms. What to do?
Also, rust on garlic. This crop is supposed to be
trouble free but this year there has been more rust than green. Will the
bulbs store?
Any suggestions gratefully
received.
