jalapeno peppers


I have a very small organic garden in my back yard and I have quite a few 
jalapenos that look like they're ready to pick. I'd like to make some 
homemade salsa and would like to know how to prepare the peppers. Should they 
be cooked first or can I just finely chop them as they are? I'm really 
enjoying the posts and I lurk mostly but have also learned a lot from all of 
you!!! Thanks!
