Hi Sue,
Well, I have a stupid groundhog in my backyard. He knows the garden
exists- I chased him out once- but he hasn't eaten a thing. I did outline
the garden with human hair from the hairdresser I go to, and lime (old
Italian told me it keeps groundhogs away) and moth balls but that was mostly
to repel the deer. Anyway, I haven't had problems yet. Peas are pretty
much done, and have been eating lettuce every night.

My garden was coming along fine until the groundhog got to it. My Brussel
Sprouts and cabbage were eaten down to a stubby stem. The same is true of
my sting beans. The majority of my snap pea plants were munched on as they
burst through the soil . The tomato plants were starting to be munched on
also. Will any of these some back or do I need to replace them?
I have put us a chicken wire fence and now fear that I have a chipmunk doing
some minimal damage. I have already replaced the cabbage plants and
replanted the sting beans seeds. The tomatoes will probably be okay. I was
hoping the peas would continue to grow.
Suggestions anyone?
