Here in so. calif, to get good keeping onions, I plant a short-day variety
in november from seed. When I have done this in the past I have gotten great
onions, but this year, even tho I have very good-looking bulbs, about
one/third of them are sending up flowering stalks. Will these blooms hurt
the keeping quality? How long should I let them stay in the ground? Thanks
for any information.
Janet.
