You'll want a pretty rich soil in the container unless you're planning to
feed them with a liquid fertilizer. I like to use worm castings in my soil
mix since they contain complete nutrients and give the soil a bit more
"heaviness" so it doesn't dry out so quickly.
One thing you do have to keep in mind though is that containers dry out very
easily in the heat and cucumbers can become quite bitter if the go through
water stress. So, do water them regularly (you might even have to do it a
couple of times a day).
The other thing to keep in mind is that the oriental cucumbers can grow to
be quite large plants so I hope you have some sort of trellis around.
