I used soil blocks for many years,then coffe cups, now it is either
module trays or square pots  which fit exactly 15 in a standard seed
tray with no gaps, no weeds in between, no wasted water, even the cheap
commercial pots last many years. Any pots like that are fine as you get
things planted out in time.
