squash help please
Does anyone know what I'm growing?
The package says "Squash, Hybrid Aztec" The picture looks like a summer
straight neck yellow squash. I assumed the pictured fruit was 5" or 6"
(13-15cm) long.
When the flowers fall off, the squash is about 3" (8cm) long and bright
yellow. The squash then starts turning green as it grows. When the squash
is about 12" (30cm) long it has passed being completely green and starts
turning yellow (in splotches) again. The blossom end remains dark green. At
14"-16" long the squash tastes pretty good cooked.
Is this a zuccini?
