Dear Tim
The vine you want is indeed A. kolomikta. A. deliciosa (the grocery store
fruit) will not be hardy in Kansas. Fortunately, A. kolomikta is the variegated one.
According to Dirr, in Manual of Hardy Trees and Shrubs, males of this
species as showy as females. Paraphraing-sun to pt shade, well drained soil,
coloration may be greater on calcareous soils.
My question is, will it grow up a wall or does it need a trellis?
