Grafting of Weigela

Has anyone had any experience with grafting of weigela?  I'm particularly
interested to know if it is possible to create a plant with a 3-4 ft
standard.  Since they are a member of the Caprifoliaceae (honeysuckle),
what could be used as the standard?  Thanks for any help.
