I am in a zone 5 semi dry short season high altitude area (Central Mountains
of New Mexico). I have to give some of these "special plants/trees" extra care
and water and some (like the Oak) grow here with no help. I have Hawthorne
(beautiful and the birds love it) and several other "Traditional" Celtic trees
and plants (Woad!) growing on 5 acres. We are planting some Ash, possibly
Alder & possibly Elder (by a constructed pond) and we are replanting some
Hazel in a more protected location.
Blessings of the Stirring Season!
