Hi!
Last 4 years I've been sowing B. alba (=B. pendula) immediately harvested
(by December or early January in Southern Hemisphere) with no special
treatment. Just sow the seeds on the surface of a well prepared seed bed and
mulch them. Water them slightly, everyday or as required. On next winter,
they are ready to transplant, 1 to 2" high.
