I'm writing on behalf of my mom's boss' 3rd grade son Liam. His odyssey
of the mind team has a sit which would do well with a balsa plant......
man builds structure from wood and glue imperfect stressful etc. The
natural world already has models that work (Blake-- innocence and
experience) . He has tracked down one tree at www.etrees.com but they
cost $80+ each. Their budget is $100 total (costumes and equipment etc.)
Is there another source for a balsa seedling or seed? Etrees.com tols
him that they are an endangered species so that might complicate things.
It is normal for the team themselves to contact resource folks like
yourself but i write this from the workplace in the interest of time.
