Re: Shrubs for shade


Thanks for the suggestions.  I will go to Michael Dirr's book to read 
about these (and the ones from the previous post.)  I do think that 
Barberry might do just fine.  Around here it does self seed and seems to 
do as well in sun or shade.  And I can dig up plants from the woods at my 
mother's house!  And the birds like the berries.  Anyone know just how 
much shade rosa rugosas can tolerate.  I think they might be nice for 
this use. And part of the fence will be in some sun.
