Thanks to all for the shrub suggestions. I now have many ideas to research
and pass along to my mother. The more we try and figure out what might
work the more we get brain fade! Sometimes you can find info for one
particular shrub (or any plant, for that matter) in five different places
and come up with five different sizes or cultivation info. I've seen
Berberis 'Rose Glow' listed as anywhere from 3' tall to 6' tall. Good
grief, someone make up my mind! I do know that growing conditions can
greatly affect size, but it does get very frustrating sometimes. :-( Oh
well, I guess that's life.
