Black spot on roses

Okay, I admit, that through absolute sheer luck, I guess, I have never ever 
had this problem before, so I've never paid all that much attention to the 
solutions...if any.

I have blackspot on my roses...New Dawn is the only one unscathed so far...but 
what do I do now? I've been removing the ugly leaves and keeping the soil 
clean around them...I always water by hand and always at the base of the 
plant, the only time the foliage is wet is when it rains...I will not use 
"bad" chemicals...they are pruned well, and there seems to be good air 
circulation through the center of the bushes...

Help. It's really ugly.
