Climatis montana 'Pink Perfection'

I believe the introduction to your list said it
included vines and I'm hoping someone may
have some advice for me re this plant. It
disguises itself under the guise of "climatis," but
it certainly does not behave like ANY OTHER
climatis I have! Even my wisteria and celastrus
scandens behave better!

Mine is about 5 years old now and is taking
over the planet (or at least my world). It is
probably 60' long on a chain link fence and
about 2 feet deep (from outer stems to fencing)
and about 3 feet from top of fence downward.
At this stage I am having to spend about an
hour a week just hacking at it or tieing it to
keep it from strangling everything in or *out*
of the intended path. I've 99% decided to get
rid of it next year. It is a show stopper while
blooming for a few weeks, but at this point not
worth the time it takes to control.

Does anyone know a pruning method that
would help with this or is the plant doomed to
the compost pile?
