For more information on Amelanchier cultivars with edible fruit go to

the Native Fruit Development Programme Web pages, although the pages have not
been updated since April 2001.
Most of these cultivars were developed or selected in cold-winter regions
where hardy edible fruit varieties are at a premium. In milder regions these
cultivars turn up mostly as ornamentals.
