What's happening by you?

With the sudden warmth that we're experiencing here in the Midwest, a
lot of flowers are popping open. Some of the better ones that I've
noticed include:

   Caragana maximowicziana
   Cornus kousa var. chinensis
   Daphne giraldii
   Elaeagnus angustifolia
   Euonymus maackii
   Lonicera ciliosa
   Lonicera korolkowii
   Lonicera ledebourii
   Lonicera prolifera
   Lonicera sempervirens
   Periploca sepium
   Rhododendron 'Cecile'
   Robinia hispida
   Tilia americana
   Viburnum dentatum
   Viburnum plicatum
   Wisteria floribunda

The amelanchiers are in full fruit right now, and boy are they good! I
have a bush right outside my office window, and the birds love to come
and eat them. The harvest looks good this year, so maybe I'll try
getting enough to make a serviceberry pie.

What's happening out by you? Anything blooming or fruiting?

Chris
