Re: Rhododendron problems was: Flowering Shrubs/Trees Fertilizer

Pam,

When you say one of your Rhododendrons isn't doing well, what do you mean?
What does it look like and why don't you think it's doing well? Are the
leaves discolored? Curled up and brown? Branches dying? Or is it just
not as large and flourishing as the other one?

Rhododendrons are subject to several fungal diseases that fertilizer won't
help...bit more description of the symptoms could help us help you.

Plus, how long have they been in the ground? Did you plant them or have
they been there for years? If you planted them, what was the soil like and
how did you plant them? Did you dig a hole or plant them high? Is your
soil clay based or sandy or loam? Does your soil drain quickly? Do you
mulch them? How large are they?
