Don & Tim, I will be interested in following this as well, I was given a
propagated *STICK* -which says Red Japanese Maple, I don't know the
botanical name either.
it has grown maybe four inches in as many weeks and now has leaves. it is
spindly --looks like the twig just streeecched up.
