Margot,
Are you in the drought areas of the U.S.? I have been reading many
articles this spring about how the lack of water has really affected the
conifers and is causing browning. I have one that is having a tough
time but I think it was also not getting enough sun. That problem has
been fixed so only time will tell. And, I am babying all of them with
regular watering to get through this bad dry spell.
