Re: variegated dogwood


It was a little too early in the a.m. when I wrote.  You are right,
"inflorescence" was the word that escaped me when I tried to capture it, and
it was actually a compound umbel type of inflorescence, now that the brain
has warmed up. The leaves shown on the c. controversa at Forestfarm actually
are very similar to mine. This plant was on sale at Wayside Gardens, which
is located up the road from us in Hodges, SC; however I have not seen it in
their catalog.  We occasionally get some not very well marked 'finds' there.
