Spicebush, Lindera benzoin.

Rub the leaves between your fingers and they should produce a spicy smell.
This is the host plant of the Spicebush Swallowtail butterfly and the fruits
are eaten by many birds.  The Wood Thrush feeds heavily on these berries.
