Re: Fiction of bullate leaves

I always thought it was so they would not rip to 
bits in the wind. rather the way banana leaves 
are built to shred, which if they did not the 
whole leaf would lead to some disastrous ripping 
from the trunk. I mean, THIS is how I would have designed them.
