Dear Friends (Amorphophiles),
There JUST was a news report on Ch. 7 out of Miami at 6.30 PM with a nice
shot of the bud of the A. titanum that is about to open at Fairchild Gardens
in Miami.  It looked close to opening, and I would guess that it will be
open in 1-3 days.  What a wonderful looking inflorescence!  What I would
give to be closer, and to experience it`s opening!  Perhaps someone nearer
to the plant can keep us informed as to its progress?
