Thanks for sharing your titan bloom with all of us! and I agree - somehow I think I'll never quite get over the pleasure of one of these guys doing its thing as J stated Âin the email stream below. I have been the proud care taker of the five that bloomed at Missouri Botanical Garden and just like my children none of them are totally alike or totally predictable.

....and we're live! Latest pics as of 9am March 14th, in pretty much full glory: 2.61m from soil to tip, so no world record breaker, but up there in good company - the word on the street says the record holders are measured inc the sub-soil measure to the top of the tuber... can anyone confirm or deny this for me? Enjoy! Jeremy P

Still not quite ready to flower just yet. It is fast catching up to a Titan called 'Phyllis' that flowered at Cairns Botanic Gardens in 2014 -measuring 2.3m this (as far as we know) is the tallest ever recorded in Australia....for now. The Tropical Glasshouse is open today and tomorrow 10am-4pm." The RBGM pic that went with it:
My rather more unofficial update: Titan Watch -- update, March 9th, 3pm: No fragrance; more visitors than previously (to be expected, Public Holiday here and all); no height measurement today, conservative guesstimate of 221cm; definite bulking up of the base; fringe of the spathe beginning to colour up nicely: https://plus.google.com/â/612120138864â/6124088270333290514â Couple of retrospective pics added to the album too, for posterity (and humour); My two bobs is on movement late Tuesday, full power fragrance and opening Wednesday; or maybe movement Wednesday, and nasal assault + visual feast on Thursday... well... we'll see!

For those who have access, the RBGM is using Facebook to post regularly (https://www.facebook.com/BotanicGardensMelbourne?fref=nf), and for those who don't there's always the always the slightly behind real-time blog: http://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/news/titan-arum-to-bloom-again). I'll aim for another update over the weekend. J
