the Annual ACGA Conference in Salt Lake City

  • Subject: [cg] the Annual ACGA Conference in Salt Lake City

Attention ACGA List Members
Information about this year's annual ACGA Conference is now available on the ACGA web page, located at www.communitygarden.org
The site for this year's conference is Salt Lake City and the dates are:  September 7, 8 and 9, 2001.
A call for papers will be listed on the web page shortly.
The conference registration fee is $175.  Room rates at the Windom Hotel are $89.  Homestays will be available.
Those are the conference basics.  The longer and more interesting version includes a Tomato Festival, a tour of the Red Butte Garden, tours of local community gardens, square dancing at Heritage Park, the happy coincidence that the Utah State Fair is scheduled for the same weekend and in the same town, and of course, conference sessions that run the gamut from the "how to" of community gardening to policy briefings on critical issues.
Please encourage your friends and fellow gardeners to think about attending the ACGA conference this year.
