There is a wiiiide variety of ownership of community garden land. I am in a 102 plot garden in Chicago on land owned by the city. There are a number of smaller community gardens on land bought by local urban land trusts. Some are privately held but undeveloped and the owner lets a group garden on it. It will be interesting to see how many varieties of ownership abound.   Laurie  (Chicago)
