RE: Flint & Dent corn

By way of reply I refer you to Carl Barnes, a extraordinary gentlemen who
runs CORNS, "A Living Seed Bank". Route 1, Box 32, Turpin, OK. 73950
(580)778-3615. Carl is an outstanding source of information and rare corn

What is the difference between flint and dent corn? Does flint corn produce
the corn we think of as corn on the cob whereas dent corn is grown more for
cornmeal? Or can both be ground for meal? Which is best for flour? Is blue
corn flint corn?
