there was an obit in the new york times awhile back for the son of the guy who invented big foot. it was a real hoot. he was quoted as saying that even after his father admitted creating the hoax, people still swore it was true. and an accompanying photo showed him holding up the big plastic slip-ons his father crafted to make the tracks.
