Gotta agree Pam, Our normal highs this time of the year are in the mid to upper 30's. If we get to the upper teens, its a heat wave. More snow last weekend, about 5" and it's blowing all over the place. A few roads are closed, I-29 going North out of Omaha is closed to Sioux City IA, and that doesn't happen too often. Think it's time to start tomatoes??? LOL. Take care and don't scream, Rich

me too - our normals should be upper 30's night and upper 50's day. We've been lucky to get to upper 30's period. And if this *&@^%$# north wind doesn't quit I am going to bloody well scream. Woke up at 4:00 am (why, Idon't know but since I'm up...) It's in the low 30's here, maybe high20'sbut the wind is blowing so it feels colder. Again, Vidalia loves itwhileAustin sleeps in the bed. Why is my dog sleeping better than I am??? I'm at my best this time of the day so the dishes are in the dishwasher and the clothes in the laundry. I'm about to start sorting seeds to see what I want to start this week in the greenhouse, IF I can find room. Supposed to go up to 51 today so I might try and do a little bit of garden clean up. Myyardlooks awful! Then it's supposed to rain again tomorrow and be in the low 30's & 20's the rest of the week nights. Where are my 60 degree temps!!! It had the highways closed down for a week. Last night, when our 3" of snow started freezing, it caused huge traffic nightmares. One poor truck driver reported that it took him 11 hours to drive 4 miles, and that was on I-85. Georgia does have a few snowplows now. When we moved here, there were no such outside the city, and there were no sand/salt trucks, either.Sandingwas done by convicts standing on top of a load in a dump truck -shovelingby hand. d ----- Original Message ----- From: "Donna" <gossiper@sbcglobal.net> To: <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Saturday, February 13, 2010 7:07 AM Subject: Re: [CHAT] What is wrong say what? You folks down south don't get 10 inches of snow! I amassuming you don't have snowplows, so that has to be dangerous for driving. Andrea, is it warm enough to melt your snow by mid-day? Shovelingisn'tan option for you right now. How cold did it get?
