Chris,
There are certain common plants I'd never be without and those I'd just as soon never see again. I get special joy from some simple plants that spark memories for me or that I worked so hard to grow from seed- and are now plentiful. One I smile at every spring is a little primrose Marge(?) sent me. I never had any success with them and she told me these would thrive. And they are still here after all these years.

That's an excellent list as well, Kitty!

There are a lot of my wish list items in there, as well as a handful of things that I tried but killed.  :)

My plants this year aren't as exotic lately as in the past -- I'm trying to fill in some holes with budget constraints and using plants that I won't mind losing too much.  Over time I plan to replace things with more specialized items.

Of course, some of the more common plants are also the most beautiful, so who knows?  :)

Chris
