North of SB a ways is Lompoc. Bodger Seeds has acres and acres of growing grounds in the area, so it's often quite colorful just to ride through the area. There is also a tour of their greenhouses. See

http://www.ci.lompoc.ca.us/departments/parks_rec/greenhouse.htm

Bodger is a major wholesale-only producer of flower seeds that are repackaged by retailers--Parks, Burpee, etc.

The last time I went to California I got the best advice from all of you. I have been invited to my sisters place in Santa Barbara Sept 12-20th. Do any of you have any advice on gardens to see or I would also love to take a watercolor painting class. Any advice this time. I will fly into LAX on the 12th. I looked up Huntington Gardens and that looks wonderful. Any advice on that?
Thank you in advance,
