Re: My Monet Weigela

Danielle,

My 'Wine and Roses' bit the dust last year, due either to The Great Easter
Freeze, or to voles - I'm not sure which, but probably the latter
considering where it was in the garden. It had been a great garden asset for
several years.

The common Weigela florida has flushed around the neighborhood, but of
course not blooming yet. For reference, Azaleas, Dogwoods, Apple trees,
'Shasta' Viburnum, Fothergilla and Loropetalum are all in full bloom. Willow
foliage is full, Japanese Maple foliage is full, Bald Cypress foliage is
about full- I think it's as full as it's going to get, given last year's
drought.

I hope you can help us solve the mystery. It's a lovely plant, and you've
been so kind to work with me on this.
