Regarding Spyware;
It is possible that the actual spyware component of a program does not
unload when you unload the actual program from your computer.  (GoZilla is
a prime example; It is a download manager that has spyware attached to it.
When you unload the actual program from your computer the spyware still
spies on your internet activity.)

A solution; install a program called Ad-aware 5.5   This is available from
www.lavasoftusa.com 
It scans your computer for spyware and you have the option to remove it.
It is very easy to use.

We use this program all the time to scan our computer for spyware.  It is
amazing where spyware will turn up.  
Some programs will still work when the spyware component is removed.  Some
will not. You have to decide whether you actually need this program or not.
