At the risk of wandering far off-topic (and hence the OT: subject line
prefix), realize that there are many different ways to track what emails
you're reading, what sites you visit, etc.  The most common involves
"web bugs", and it's recently been incorporated into emails, too:

There are other methods that can be used that involve timing the speed
of images loaded on a Web page (i.e. you can tell that it's in somebody's
cache, so they must have been at another site that had the same image
already), etc.

I just don't want anyone getting too complacent.  You can be tracked quite
easily, spyware or not...
