I agree. I just took a poll of the gardeners on Suite101.com to see how organically committed
the readers were. I was amazed to find that more people actually considered themselves to be
totally organic gardeners - a larger number than those who said they would use stronger methods
in an emergency - which is the camp I've always fallen into.

Maybe the term "organic" has fallen from favor in some way, but in five years of interviewing
would be garden editors at the Suite, as well as interacting with readers, I've found that most
tend strongly toward organic gardening methods. That's one big plus we have when writing for the
web - a lot of immediate feedback and discussions. And it appears that many people would like to
do the environmentally sound thing - it's just that they don't always know how.

That's our job.

And like Ellen I'd love to know the drawbacks with Neem. I have a bottle of it and was amazed
that the advised safety precautions on the literature that came with it are far stronger than
those given by the manufacturers of chemical products. So strong that the bottle sits untouched
until I find out why they want me to wear a suit of armor before spraying.
