I'm sure they only took it down because they got caught. How many 42-cent
stamps is this worth to you? If a lot, I would send them invoices on a
regular basis with a specific figure that is likely to get paid, such as
$50 or $150, whatever you think you can get. It probably isn't worth the
aggravation to persue legally.

For the future, I recommend signing up for a Google Alert on your name. I
receive notice of anything with "de Vries" in it within 24 hours of it
being posted. I have to read through (sometimes in foreign languages)
what a lot of other de Vrieses are doing around the world, but I would
know immediately if anyone put any of my stuff on the web.

There seem to be so many complaints about this sort of thing, maybe
someone with an appropriate blog or website (such as the gals at Garden
Rant) would be willing to keep a page dedicated to listing the names (or
sites) of the offenders.
