Brook says we'll probably see an increase in small growers. If the book
trade is any model, that's right. Many of the large publishers were gobbled
up by mega-corporations, who then found books beneath their notice except
for a handful of best sellers. So they left the book biz wide open to
micro-publishers like myself, of whom there are thousands. With
www.Amazon.com buying from us directly and giving us a presence on the web,
anyone can find our books. Ironically, many of us were formerly employed by
big-name publishers.
