Re: Plugging My Stuff

I'd like to plug my son Al's computer program, "Lifey!".

It is not a game, but is a simulation of evolution with plant life forms
evolving on an island, to gentle background sound of lapping waves on the
shore.

Al Mackey, a professional programmer, says, "The island starts with a
population of 100 seeds that grow to simple plants. These plants will grow
and make seeds of their own, which will grow into other plants that are
randomly slightly different than their parents. Plants that are better
suited to survival on the island will do better than others, which leads to
some simple evolution."

He calls Lifey! "a simple simulation of life on an island that brings all
the fun and excitement of watching the grass grow to your PC."

It is downloadable, free, at:

http://www.blinken.com/lifey.html

It just sits on the computer and runs and can be turned off with a click.
Setup instructions and screen shots are on the site so you can check it out
before downloading anything.

If you have nothing better to do (hah!) take a look!

With best wishes,
Betty
