OK, why? Is it just something their legal department has told them? Do you 
think they would object to their being mentioned, capitalized, in an article 
without the (TM)? I know that PW has read some of my stuff, and I've never 
had a complaint.

On fancy names, there is another problem. Frequently the commercial name 
that a plant is marketed under is different from the registered name. I 
mention this just to throw in an additional complication.
