I feel kind of bad -- my old tried and true (perfectly functioning) N90s
has become a paperweight.  :)

I've been very happy with my Nikon equipment.  All of my old stuff works
with the new D70, although there are better attachments available now with
extra features.

I think one of the biggest issues in choosing an SLR is the price.  I mean,
if I could afford it I'd go ahead and buy the new 39 megapixel Hasselblad.
